Conductor of Mixed Choir "Petko Staynov"

Mladen Stanev has conducted the Petko Staynov Choir since 2004. He graduated from the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music with a master's degree in 1998. He has participated in masterclasses in choral conducting.

Since 1999 he has been working as a choirmaster at the State Opera Stara Zagora. He conducts various vocal ensembles, symphony concerts and children’s performances. Mladen Stanev has a rich concert activity in most European countries, Turkey and the USA.

With some of his ensembles he has won prizes in international competitions. He has been a member of the jury of national vocal competitions, as well as of the International Choir Festival in Istanbul for several years in a row. He is the artistic director of the Minu Balkanski Foundation.
