Yana Deliradeva
Conductor of Detska Kitka Choir
Yana Deliradeva studied choral conducting with Prof. Nikola Lipov and Prof. Georgi Robev. She graduated from the Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, the class of Prof. Joseph Flumerfelt, with a master's degree.
Yana Deliradeva was appointed as assistant conductor of the Detska Kitka Choir in 2003. She became conductor of the concert ensemble in 2011. She worked on the development of new audiences by enriching the repertoire and collaborating with artists from various fields, while maintaining the high technical and artistic standard of the choir set by the previous conductors.
She has taught choral conducting at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in the city of Plovdiv, where she is an assistant professor. Since 2018 she has been working as a vocal pedagogue at the Children's Academy of the State Opera Plovdiv.
Yana Deliradeva won the Professor Veneta Vicheva Conducting Mastership Award and the Best Conductor Prize at the festival “Chernomorski zvutsi”, Balchik, as well as the Golden Lyre Prize of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers.
