Dobri Hristov Childrens Choir at the Center for Personal Development Support – Municipal Children’s
"Dobri Hristov" Children's Choir at the Center for Personal Development Support – Municipal Children’s complex, Varna is one of the first Bulgarian children's choirs founded in 1952-1953 by the music teacher Veselin Ivanov, followed by Lidiya Dushek, Tsanka Petrova, Ivelina Dimitrova, Zaharina Milkova, Irena Kolarova.
Since 2016, the choir conductor is Galina Stanisheva, the pianist is Bilyana Eneva.
The choir possess dozens of honors and awards from national and international competitions and festivals in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Macedonia, Italy, Poland, Greece.
In 2020 and 2022, the choir took part in the International Music Festival "Varna Summer" in creative collaboration with the chamber ensemble "Symfonieta", conductor Prof. Milko Kolarov.
"Dobri Hristov" Children's Choir was awarded the award of the "Yordan Kamdjalov" Foundation, presented at the XI Festival of Women's and Girls' Choirs "Prof. Lilia Guleva", Targovishte 2019. In 2021 the choir was awarded a gold medal for its participation in the online edition of the World Peace Choir Festival - Vienna, Austria; First Prize at the prestigious Moscow International Music Competition, 2021; First Prize from the Ohrid Choir Competition, Ohrid, North Macedonia, 2022.
For its contribution to the art of music, the Dobri Hristov Children's Choir has been awarded the Golden Lira of the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Artists.
