Rosie Mastrosavva
Rosie Mastrosavva was born in Rhodes. She studied piano, monody and advanced theory of music at the National Conservatory of Athens. She attended classes on choir conducting by a A. Kontogeorgiou and M. Logiadis. She continued her studies at Munchen Hochschule fur Musik und Theater and completed them, achieving an honours degree and a Master’s degree in choir conducting. She has attended masterclasses with maestros E. Ericsson, H. Rilling, Er. Ortner and Fr. Bernius.
She has conducted several choirs in Germany and Greece: Melismachor, Vocal Kreis Cantabile Singtonics, Amasingers, Students’ Choir of the University of the Aegean. Con Anima Vocal Ensemble, E.R.T. (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation), Children’s Choir of Argos’ Municipal Conservatory, Ano Liosia Municipal Conservatiory Choir, Choir of New Schools of G. Malliara, Children’s Choir of the Third Programme of E.R.T. and the Children’s Choir of the Musical Ensembles of the Municipality of Athens. She has taught in choral seminars and at the Department of Primary Education, of the University of the Aegean, in Rhodes. In 2008 she founded the Children and Youth Choir Rosarte, which she directs to this day.
