Principal conductor of the Choir of the Blind "Academician Petko Staynov"

Peter Matev is conductor of the Choir of the Blind "Academician Petko Staynov"  since 1997.

He graduated from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” where he has studied in the choral conducting class of prof. Stoyan Kralev.

Peter Matev works with various children's, men's, mixed and folk choirs, with whom he performed in Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain, Turkey, Macedonia.

In 2002 he was awarded a silver medal in the category "Folklore" of the IX International Choir Festival "Orlando di Lasso" in Camerino, Italy. Peter Matev has realized numerous recordings and released four CDs.
